The Party of Treason lives up to its name - by Judson Phillips

The Party of Treason lives up to its name

There is a reason why the Democrats are referred to as the Party of Treason.  Rahm Emanuel once said never let a good crisis go to waste.  The Party of Treason is following his advice.

What are they doing?

If they have their way, they are going to gut our military.

The Constitution provides for a few basic functions of the Federal Government.  One of them is to defend America.  Our founding fathers could never have imagined that we would have leaders of this country that not only do not love America but want to see America reduced to the power of Denmark.

They want $400 billion in immediate cuts and cutting $1 trillion over the next ten years.

One of the leaders of the Party of Treason demanding cuts is Barney Frank.  Right we should listen to Barney Frank.  The last time we listened to Barney Frank we ended up with the sub prime crisis and a wrecked economy.   And now he wants to do that to national defense?  At least, unlike when he was regulating Fannie Mae, he isn’t sleeping with anyone in the Defense Department as he proposes future policy.  Wait, maybe that is the problem.  With the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, maybe DOD needs to send Frank a new “friend” and the DOD budget will do better.

The budget proposals would mean the Navy would go from 11 carriers to 9.   Surface ships would see a similar reduction.  Our ballistic missile submarines would be cut from 14 to 11.  Since only three carriers are at sea at any given time and one or two are in the shipyard for overhauls, we will not have the ability to project force.  For the first time since World War II, the United States will be in the position of not having an aircraft carrier in the Pacific.

China is increasing its military presence in the Western Pacific.   Barney wants us to simply gut our military.  Perhaps we should give them Hawaii while we are at it.

The Air Force has been begging for years for a new bomber.  The B-52 was first designed during World War 2.  Not only is the B-52 older than the crews that fly it, it is older than their parents and probably their grandparents!

Defense is the one area, even in the time of a depression, such as the Obama depression, when we should be increasing spending.  Instead of retiring a couple of aircraft carriers, what do you think would happen if the Obama regime decided to build a couple of new ones!  (No, I’m not on drugs.  I know Obama wants to destroy the American military.  This is just a hypothetical)

If we decided to build a couple of new carriers, thousands of workers would be hired for the shipyards.  Thousands of employees would be hired for the steel mills that would provide the steel for the hull and various sub contractors would hire thousands.  Do you know what that means?

It means they would receive paychecks and go out and spend that money.  That would help a recovery.  That is a shovel ready project!

Increasing spending for the military does a couple of things.  It not only not only stimulates the economy, it protects our nation.  That is a better investment than say spending money on teaching Chinese prostitutes how to drink responsibly.

Some conservatives complain there is waste in the Defense Department.  Well, it is the government, isn’t it?  There are things can be cut out.   There are places where we do not need to be.  If that is so, let’s close out our presence there and use the savings to help defend our country.

It is time our elected officials remember why they are in office and start acting accordingly and acting responsibly.
