Trump fires new communications director Scaramucci

Trump fires new communications director Scaramucci
After just 10 days on job, another huge shakeup at White House staff

Anthony Scaramucci was removed as White House communications director after 10 days on the job
The White House released a statement Monday afternoon announcing Anthony Scaramucci has been removed from the job.

This follows the firing of White House chief of staff Reince Priebus on Friday. And that followed an obscenity laced tirade against Preibus by Scaramucci in the New Yorker last week.

Monday was the first day on the job for new White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly.

The New York Times reports that Scaramucci’s removal was the president’s decision, not Kelly’s, but that the new chief of staff made clear to staff members that he was in charge, at a Monday morning meeting.

No word yet on whether Scaramucci will stay at the White House in another position.

The brief, three-sentence statement from the White House simply read:

Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director. Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.
